Did you know that every Thursday is, in certain circles, "Love Thursday"? It's a day to blog about love in all its facets.
So in honor of Love Thursday, here is a letter to the wren, who is almost five weeks old.
At almost five weeks old, wren, you are very busy, most of the time, with your important sleeping. I know it must be important, because you can fall asleep in the middle of anything. You can fall asleep while
hypermuffin is running around banging things and yelling, or while she is slamming doors and shouting "HA HA HA" just for fun, or even in the middle of a good meal. Of course, that doesn't stop your sucking; it just slows you down a bit.
You have a tiny blister on your lip from sucking so much. Whenever I catch sight of that pale bubble on your upper lip, I feel a warm pulse of melty affection for you. It helps with the continuing boredom of being glued to the chair, couch, or bed so many hours of the day. Thank God for the internet, is all I can say. And thank God you are so cute.
